Long Lake Zinc Mine
Rocks from The Long Lake Zinc Mine, near Parham, Ontario often resemble stellar images with bands, streaks and bright specks running through a dull red to red matrix.
These specimens are fist to hand sized. And contain the following fluorescent minerals:
- calcite – dull purple red to red
- hydrozincite – blue to bright blue white
- diopside – bright blue specks
- chondrodite – bright yellow specks
- humite – yellow
